Michael Brian Anderson is a cynic, a mess and an agnostic, who in spirit is truly a wayward soul lost in suffering until this person finds their life turned upside down in an epic journey through Myth, Folklore and a world of the strange, the wyrd, and the gifts from creation.

Transforming like a chrysalis from a broken body into a full realized and rather imposing figure.

This tale I spin is an epic invocation that transcends billions of years through space/time and evolution to cast what one can blossom into when unconstrained by limitations of the mind, and a full realization of the spirit, that a broken body and heart can heal and effect the very outcome of the Great Web of Creation herself.

Book Reviews From The Beach by Russell

The Place Of Things by Daniel Fisher

It’s no surprise that I love to read. The genres that most intrigue me are Fantasy, Horror and Sci/Fi. Since Covid I have been reading anything that I can find. Some great, some not so great. This particular book, The Place Of Things, from the Breaking Rules Publishing inventory by Daniel Fisher seems to have brought an interesting feel to my thoughts and insights. Mr. Fisher has perplexed me with his imagery and characters. The world and story that he has created is … amazing. His blurb, below, indicates that his characters travel on an epic journey. I say that Mr. Fisher has masterfully taken you/me along with them.

Since taking on this role with BRP I have looked to other reviewers words and suggestions for the writers their encounter. Some find the difficulty of their profession and fail to get out of it. I think that as a reviewer you have the responsibility to… tell the truth – gently. To encourage the writer to continue and strive to improve and get better in their craft. To not discourage and put down but to lift and find what you like about the book, even if it is only a word, a paragraph or line. With Mr. Fisher I don’t have to do any of that.

This book is FANTASTIC! I read it quickly, which means that I was interested. I read it from page one to the end, which means that I liked it. I read it twice – which means that I loved this book. Well done!

I tell you about my feet in the sand all the time. To be honest, I don’t remember my feet in the sand, what the weather was like or what was going on around me. From the moment I picked up The Place Of Things, I was lost in Mr. Fisher’s words and story.
